Interim reports on proposals for reform in children cases in family courts now available

This consultation period runs from Wednesday 3 July 2019 and will close on 30 September 2019.

  • The President of the Family Division, Sir Andrew McFarlane, has launched a public and private consultation on children cases in the family court.

    In Autumn 2018 the President of the Family Division invited Mr Justice Keehan (public law) and Mr Justice Cobb (private law), to lead two cross-professional Working Groups, to look at practices and processes in these two areas. The Interim Reports of both these Working Groups are now available.
